Scoring AAA Action Games: A Call of Duty: Mobile Case Study

What you'll do

In five video parts (4 hours 35 minutes), Jeff Broadbent breaks down his music for Call of Duty: Mobile: how the melodies and motifs are built, the harmony under them, what each orchestral section and synth layer is doing, and how it all adds up to the sound of an action game, from sparse moments to full combat.

Then you put it to work. You compose original music for an action game of your own design, from a one-minute main theme up to a full set: main theme, looping combat track, high-intensity finale, and stingers and transitions. Every piece is mixed, mastered, and ready to drop into a game.

What you need

A computer, a DAW, and orchestral and synthesizer virtual instruments (free or paid).
