Scoring Fantasy Adventure Games: A Heroes of Incredible Tales 2 Case Study
Study how a fantasy adventure score is built, then write your own. Composer Jeff Broadbent breaks down his music for Heroes of Incredible Tales 2, and you compose original music for a fantasy or adventure game of your own design.

What you'll do
In five video parts (4 hours 20 minutes), Jeff Broadbent breaks down his music for Heroes of Incredible Tales 2: how its themes and motifs are built, the harmony beneath them, what the orchestra, vocals, and solo instruments each contribute, and how the score creates a sense of place, heroism, and danger, from quiet exploration to full-scale battle.
Then you put it to work. You compose original music for a fantasy or adventure game of your own design, from a one-minute main theme up to a full set: main theme, looping exploration track, looping battle theme, and fanfares and transitions. Every piece is mixed, mastered, and ready to drop into a game.
